Testament to our standing in the road safety world is that our company was awarded the Kevin Story Award for Outstanding Contribution to Road Safety by Brake, the largest road safety organisation in the UK outside the Government. Brake also feature our organisation and messages in Road Safety Week leaflets which are distributed nationwide to schools and businesses. Our company also supports road safety initiatives by the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, and sits as specialist advisors on the council. “Hi there, My name is Rory. I am one of the co-founders of Gaia Guru, an up and coming CBD (cannabidiol) health food and supplement company. I've been hearing from quite a few people that they have had problems accessing our website, particularly on mobile networks. This has also been the case for me on EE. This has been a significant interruption to our business, and has affected our relationship with a newly established partner. We host training workshops and tests on our site for our partners, and the block has created problems for us in this regard. I realise that CBD is associated with marijuana, but the fact of the matter is CBD is NOT marijuana. We operate a fully compliant, and completely legal business selling CBD that is derived from hemp, the legal variety of cannabis plants approved for use in the UK. All of our products are tested for cannabinoid contents, and we can show they are well below the legal limit of THC in the UK (<0.2% THC). I was disappointed to learn that our site had been blocked, as we are aiming to be fully compliant and professional in our approach to selling a stigmatised product. I realise Marijuana is not age appropriate for under 18's. However, we do not sell marijuana, we sell CBD. According to UK legal consensus, there is no legal age restriction on CBD. CBD has been used safely in clinical settings for children as young as 4 years old. Nonetheless, we still employ an age gate in accordance with the recommendation of CBD trade associations in the UK. I noticed that there are numerous other CBD companies operating in the UK that aren't affected by a block, even though they do not employ age gates.
