“transfem.social is part of the "fediverse" network of social media websites and is explicitly safe for under 18s, backed up by a competent moderation team. Speaking as someone who uses the fediverse and regularly interacts with users from transfem.social, I can vouch for its friendliness and community. As implied by its name, it is also primarily a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people, including youth, who may have limited access to resources in their physical area and as such find it extremely valuable in exploring identity and getting support. Furthermore, there is a strong culture of tagging posts with "content warnings" (also enforced by the site moderators) to describe anything that a user may not wish to see, which allows all members to filter out such posts from their feed entirely for their own preferences and safety. Note that BT is the only major ISP to block this website.”
