Original Complaint: ------------------- I am the owner of this website. I have owned and run Pink Giraffe as a sole trader since 2007. A few years ago I started making dance costumes and selling them on my website. Some of my customers were competitive pole dancers. I never sold anything remotely adult in nature, but obviously pole dancing does have some affiliation with the adult entertainment industry. I believe this is why my website may have been marked as 'adult content' even though it isn't. I am no longer making dance costumes because I am physically disabled, but I am still running Pink Giraffe. I am now a business advisor to other dance costume makers, hoping them with their marketing. I would like to request that the adult filters be removed from my website as they never should have been put there in the first place. During the beginning of the Covid pandemic I was making and selling face masks for people. A number of my customers were unable to access my website to buy their masks and this affected my sales. It is only today that I have discovered the website blocked.org.uk and been able to make this request. Please could you remove my website from the adult filters so that I can continue to reach my customers without fear that they think I am publishing adult content. Thank you. submitted on 12 April, 2021 at 14:48 ISP Response: ------------- Review comments: ----------------

    Hello,

Thanks for your request.

The BBFC examined http://www.pinkgiraffe.co.uk on 12/07/2021.

The URL leads to a website which sells business advice for those wishing to
make dance costumes as a career. The site includes a podcast and blog on
sewing and other matters relating to the industry. It offers free
tutorials to registered users. We did not find any material that we would
categorise 18 in line with Part B of the Framework.

We will inform the mobile network operators of this decision.

Best wishes,

Jonny
