The Chaos Computer Club is a large German non-governmental organisation of IT security experts. What this means and why this should be public to everyone is best described by the following quote of the related Wikipedia article; "In general, the CCC advocates more transparency in government, freedom of information, and the human right to communication. Supporting the principles of the hacker ethic, the club also fights for free universal access to computers and technological infrastructure as well as the use of open-source software." The Guardian calls the CCC "…one of the most influential digital organisations anywhere, the centre of German digital culture, hacker culture, hacktivism, and the intersection of any discussion of democratic and digital rights". This shows that the CCC is an important German and European NGO which provides verified information which may be relevant to people researching simple issues like freedom of information or freedom of communication. A website advocating freedom while sharing verified and often ground-breaking research should be public to everyone.
