BBFC response

    Hello,

Thanks for your referral.

The BBFC looked at https://www.thecountryman.com/ on 01/03/21.

We noted that the site advertises the sale of shotguns, rifles and
ammunition, in a countryside management context, together with online
retail of associated clothing and accessories. Only the associated products
are available for online purchase and delivery, with sale of firearms and
ammunition restricted to collection on production of a valid licence. Based
on my sampling of the site, there was no material that the BBFC would
classify 18 or refuse to classify. We therefore do not recommend that the
site continue to be restricted behind adult filters.

We will inform Vodafone - as well as the other mobile network operators -
of this adjudication immediately; usually, it takes about 24 for the
network to update their filters.

Best,

Jonny
